SUMMER registration has begun! Join us, and make music for life.
Classes are being offered at five convenient locations.
- St. Paul's Methodist Church, in New Bedford, on the corner of Rockdale Ave. and Kempton St. (AKA RT 6), and is less than a quarter mile north of Buttonwood Park.
- St. Peter's Episcopal Church, in the heart of Padanaram Village at 352 Elm St., South Dartmouth.
- Autumn Glen Assisted Living Community (formerly Heritage Assisted Living) on Cross Road in North Dartmouth. The Wednesday, 9:15 AM South Coast Music Together class is an inter-generational.
- The First Congregational Church of Fairhaven, in Fairhaven Center.
- The Marion Yoga Loft, at the Old Landing, 15 Creek Road, Marion.
South Coast Music Together classes are:
- Music and movement classes are for children birth to five or six.
- Ten weekly (EIGHT weeks during the summer), 45-minute classes which include songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play.
- Presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences--developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers--regardless of their own musical ability.
- TWO COMPACT DISCS, and ILLUSTRATED SONGBOOK are included, for use at home for family music making!
- First time families also receive MUSIC AND YOUR CHILD, a DVD, to help explain your child's musical development.
The Children's Singing Circle classes are for children ages five to nine. Just as much fun, but developmentally appropriate for kids a bit older. Classes meet for one hour.
SUMMER 2010: The CHILDREN'S SINGING CIRCLE will meet for EIGHT WEEKS, and TUITION will be $120.00 / Sibling $80.00 - registration fees apply.
FirstSounds is for expectant mothers who are looking for a way to form a bond with her baby before delivery. Sessions are eight weeks long and each class is an hour long.
Women's Singing Circle is for the woman who loves singing with your child, but would like to have some time to nurture her own musicality. Sessions are eight weeks and each class is 90 minutes.
Minimum enrollment for South Coast Music Together classes and the Children's Singing Circle is eight children and the maximum is twelve. The minimum enrollment for FirstSounds and the Women's Singing Circle is eight.
